Description:
When former slaves go on strike against Judge Duke's (George Kennedy) plantation, all hell breaks loose. The law, Amos (Armand Assante) and Ezra (Billy Zane) are in the Judge's pocket. Reese Paxton (Eric Braeden), a white landowner, takes the side of the slaves, starting a succession of events which land Paxton in jail leaving his family and the slaves to the mercy of Ezra's gang.
Many are killed including his wife and son. When released, Reese comes back to exact revenge and help the former slaves.
