A young woman is found in the sanctuary of a church, covered in seemingly self-inflected crucifix shaped gashes. Rushed to the hospital, she is taken to a psychiatric ward where she spends her time staring out of the window and clutching her handmade cross. A detective, whose partner is missing, becomes convinced this girl holds information that could lead him to his partner and help solve a series of missing person's reports.
