Everywhere in Holland people are suffering from the economic crisis, except the New Kids of Maaskantje, a village in the South. While everybody else loses their jobs, the New Kids apply a perfectly logical solution to their money problems: They stop paying for the things they need. This trend spreads quickly around the country – with anarchy following close behind. The government, desperate to fix the problem, decides to wipe Maaskantje off the map.
