At the beginning of the 80s, Colonel Grigoriev of the KGB (real name: Vladimir Vetrov), is feeling totally disillusioned. As he gathers industrial and military espionage information from the West, he realizes daily the extent to which Brezhnev's USSR is sinking ever deeper into an economic and political quagmire.
