As a physician at local clinic, Dr. Ichito Kurihara has no days to call his own with the heavy patient visits and shortage of doctors on call. Diagnosing even patients out of his specialty, and working long hours without sleep, Ichito is drawn to a position at a major general hospital. The job will provide time for his family along with an opportunity to heighten his skill as a physician. Yet, his days linger on at the clinic from his reluctance to leave his patients with one less doctor to look after them.
